Fitness 4Golf• Mobility • Stability • Strength | • Speed • Power • Flexibility | These are the 6 factors necessary to enable a golfer of any level to swing consistently and pain-free. My Fitness4Golf Program has 3 Steps designed to meet each golfer’s specific needs. |
| | | | | | | Step 1: The Assessment • The player’s golf swing is recorded and analysed • Body co-ordination, muscle balance, flexibility and strength are tested • Screening form is filled and goals are developed Step 2: Plan of Action A personalised training schedule is drawn up including 1-on-1 training sessions involving cardiovascular work, free-weight exercises, core strengthening and the use of the innovative Technogym Kinesis Cable System. A gym/home training program of relevant time, stretching/mobility work and body conditioning is also devised. Other areas of performance are targeted depending on the individual and the time of year in relation to the golfer’s season. These include a warm-up routine, dietary advice and training to aid swing or technical improvements. Step 3: Re-evaluation The body adapts to repeated movement patterns so regular training changes and developments are essential to maximise the benefits of specific training and to optimise performance. Again depending on the time within the player’s yearly season, re-assessments are scheduled, the golf swing is analysed, training sessions are re-evaluated and new programs are designed every 3-8 weeks. Fitness4Golf should not replace regular lessons with the individual’s PGA Professional. The best results are obtained when I work alongside the player’s swing coach consulting them on changes within the golfer’s set-up, swing and game as a whole. |
