The Body Balancing &Strengthening Program

  It Deals With:

 •  Injury Rehabilitation

 •  Sport-Specific Training

 •  Weight Loss

Injury rehabilitation deals with working alongside the individual’s physiotherapist to balance the body through strengthening weak areas of concern, improving movement patterns in tight or inhibited areas as well as addressing the root cause of the injury.

If an injury is not corrected within 6 weeks the body adapts forcing other tissues and systems to take on more load. So although symptoms may subside, chronic imbalances become engrained until such time as the root cause is examined and corrected.

Each sport has particular movement patterns and requires specific cardiovascular capacities and muscle strengthening. This Body Balancing & Strengthening program assesses the sport and the player’s needs; the training targets both to reduce the risk of injury and to optimise performance.

When weight loss is the goal an exercise program will be more effective when combined with dietary controls. From an exercise standpoint, sessions will involve cardiovascular training, in the form of interval training, and strengthening work to increase the muscle mass so even the resting metabolic rate is increased.
